Ursula Ofman,
Psy. D. is a licensed clinical psychologist. A former Fulbright Scholar, she completed
her doctorate in clincal psychology at Rutgers University. Dr. Helen Singer Kaplan
trained her in Sex Therapy at Cornell University Medical Center. In addition,
Dr. Ofman completed a post-graduate fellowship in Psycho-Oncology in the Psychiatry
and Urology Departments at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. She is a certified
trainer in the Prevention and Relationship Enhancement Program (PREPtm),
a technique to help couples improve communication and solve problems. Dr.
Ofman has published and lectured extensively in the areas of human sexuality and
cancer treatment. Dr. Ofman is in private practice in Midtown Manhattan and has
specialized in couples and sex therapy for the last 28 years. She
also works with adults who face other acute crises or chronic difficulties in
life, using problem focused, cognitive-behavioral approaches.
